More DA's is a program that allows you to load Desk Accessories and Inits off of a disk other than your system disk at boot time. There are four versions of this program:
1. MDA Multi: This Init searches all online volumes. It looks for a folder called Extras with folders called Desk.Accs and System.Setup inside of it. It will load all DA's from the Desk.Accs folder, and all Inits (both temporary and permanent Inits) from the System.Setup folder. This is intended for people with two or more 3.5" drives.
2. MDA One Drive: This Init is exactly the same as MDA Multi, with one important exception: While booting your IIgs, MDA One Drive asks you to replace your boot disk with a disk containing the extra DA's and Inits. This is intended for people with a single 3.5" drive.
3. MDA Desk Multi: This program functions the same as MDA Multi, but you launch it from the Finder. This is useful if you booted off of a disk that didn't have the MDA Multi Init, or if you had forgotten to insert the disk with the extra DA's and Inits at boot time.
4. MDA Desk One: This program is the same as MDA Desk Multi, but when you run it, it will ask you to replace the boot disk with one containing the extra DA's and Inits. When you are done loading the extras, hit escape to make MDA Desk One stop asking for the non-boot disk. Useful under the same circumstances as MDA Desk Multi, but for people with one drive.
WARNING: Not all DA's and Inits are written so that they can be run from disks other than the one you booted from. If you have problems with a DA or an Init that was loaded with MoreDA's, try putting it back on your boot disk.
COPYING MORE DA's
Select "File Copier" from the File menu (or just press Open-Apple-F) to run the copying program. Click on "More.DAs" and select the disk you'd like to copy it to.
